Seghesio Wine Dinner

Aya Cookhouse welcomes winemaker Pete Seghesio for a specially-paired, four-course wine dinner. The Seghesio Family Vineyards date back to 1895 and carry on a proud Sonoma tradition of winemaking that started with original zinfandel plantings by founding father Edoardo. Today, the Seghesio name has become nearly synonymous with Sonoma zinfandel. The Seghesios also produce excellent Italian reds and whites, which are grown in Sonoma's climate which is remarkably similar to Edoardo's native northern Italy. 

For this special dinner, Aya Cookhouse has created a menu designed to pair perfectly with the Italian-style wines, and Pete Seghesio will be on hand to discuss the wines and the history of the vineyard. 

The evening begins with a wine reception at 6:30 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres followed by a seated four-course meal prepared by the Aya team featuring dishes like braised short rib bun, bamboo bomb, Hawaiian poke, and strawberry sorbet. 

Seghesio wines that will be poured include Seghesio Pinot Grigio, Seghesio Costiera White Blend, Seghesio Ommagio Cabernet Blend, Seghesio Barbera, Seghesio Venom Rattle Snake Hill Vineyard Sangiovese.
