Special Six Course Tasting Menu Featuring the Wines of Forlorn Hope and Winemaker Matthew Rorick

Mon, Apr 13, 2015 at 6pm

This event has passed.

Edmund’s Oast will partner with McCarus Beverage Company on Monday, April 13 starting at 6:00PM to host winemaker Matthew Rorick and a special six course tasting dinner on The Bower with his rare Forlorn Hope wines.

California Winemaker Matthew Rorick believes very strongly that site and farming produces wine at its best. Matthew has a very light hand in the cellar as he takes a very natural approach as each of his “Rare Creatures” are focused on displaying the best expression of where the wine grapes are grown and how they are farmed. No new barrels are ever used in the Forlorn Hope cellar. Matthew received his degree in Viticulture and Enology from UC Davis and has worked on a variety of winemaking projects and collaborations. He started Forlorn Hope Wines in 2010 and the wines have just recently been available in South Carolina. This will be the first time Matthew has done a dinner in Charleston.
