This event has passed.

On March 26th, Chefs Elliott Moss will travel from North Carolina to  Revelry Brewery (10 Conroy Street, Charleston, SC 29403) along with Charleston's very own Patrick Owens, to craft a dinner highlighting this brewery’s contributions to our local beer scene. These brewers and chefs are known for their edginess and creativity, so we’re excited to see what they come up with in their first Commune dinner. Beginning at 6:30pm, the dinner will include 4 courses, cocktails, beer and wine for $78 per person.

Revelry Brewing is the brainchild of Ryan Coker, Jay Daratony, and Sean Fleming. Head Brewer Ryan Coker got his start homebrewing five years ago. Since then, Revelry has released about fifteen beers so far, known for pushing the limits of creativity and adventure.

Elliott Moss hails from Asheville and helmed the kitchen at The Admiral. This brought him regional and national attention as one of the most acclaimed chefs in the area, earning rave reviews from The New York Times, GQ Magazine, Food & Wine Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, Conde Nast, and many more regional & national publications. He was nominated for the James Beard Award for “Best Chef Southeast” in 2013, and was invited to cook at the Annual James Beard Sunday Supper in Atlanta along with many other notable James Beard award winners and nominees from the south. Elliott's recent projects include Punk Wok, his ode to Appalachia-meets-Asia cuisine, and The Thunderbird at MG Road, blowing minds & palates with his take on Retro-Southern cooking. His newest project, currently under construction, is Buxton Hall Barbecue, bringing wood- smoked, pit cooked, whole-hog barbecue to downtown Asheville.

A Charleston native, Patrick Owens’ knowledge and passion for Southern cuisine runs deep, cultivated as a child in his grandparent’s kitchen and at Lowcountry fish fries at the family cabin on the Pee Dee River. He started his official culinary career as soon as he was old enough to hold a job, catering with Charleston Bay Gourmet as a teenager and later moving into more serious posts at Circa 1886 and Magnolia’s.

At just 27, Patrick seized an opportunity to have his own restaurant, and opened Langdon’s Restaurant + Wine Bar (Langdon is Patrick’s middle name) in a tucked-away shopping center in Mt. Pleasant. Fast-forward 10 years, when Langdon’s has since become a bright spot in the local dining scene, garnering the praise of locals and tourists who praise Patrick’s “top-tier” fare and “excellent wine list.” Under Patrick’s leadership, Langdon’s continues to shine, earning the only AAA Four Diamond award East of the Cooper every year since opening.

Sponsors include Fork & Knife, Cathead Vodka, Grassroots Wine and Technical Events Company.

Jonathan Bonceck will be providing photography.
