1. Lamb stripstrami: mustard, fennel, crostini
2. Kimchi fried oysters: nuoc mam slaw
3. Wagyu beef shin ssam: gem lettuce, breakfast radish
4. Korean goat & dumplings: beer, butter
5. Vinegar pie: more butter, this time with sugar

We're excited to announce that the folks from Underbelly, led by Chef Chris Shepherd and his sous chef (and Eater Young Gun 2013!) Ryan Lachaine, will be taking over our kitchen for a special one-night engagement October 24.

Since its inception, Houston's Underbelly has garnered critical and popular acclaim from folks like Bon Appetit's Andrew Knowlton (who named it one of the 50 Best New Restaurants of 2012) and the James Beard Foundation, which shortlisted the H-town hotspot for Best Chef: Southwest 2013.

For their dinner at the Bee, the Underbelly crew will be serving a 5-course menu priced at $55 per person and we will be selling beer and wine that night in lieu of our usual BYOB policy. There will be a $15 corkage fee for outside beer or wine.

We've partnered with our friends and neighbors at High Wire Distilling to offer guests a special complimentary tasting of HWD's local spirits at the start of each dinner. Guests to each seating of the Underbelly dinner will have the unique opportunity to meet one another beforehand in a relaxed, social setting while sampling High Wire's Hometown Vodka and Silver Rum.
